FACTS ABOUT SMOKING MARIJUANA
Despite what some people may say, marijuana is not harmless.
Marijuana smoke contains over 400 chemicals; many of these are the same harmful chemicals found in tobacco smoke . Using marijuana can harm your lungs. It can also increase your risk for these diseases:
- Chronic cough
- Recurring lung infections
- Cancer of the head and neck
- Heart disease
- Memory loss
- Learning problems
- Accidents
- Mental health problems
Babies born to mothers who smoke marijuana can have health problems, including low birth weight and prematurity.
